2020 – 2022 MEDILUDUS -Personalized Medical Care through Serious Games and Gamification. The project proposes the development of an integrated system for health care at home and provision of suggestions for the improvement of living conditions for elderly people living alone or without constant monitoring and support at home. Project within the framework of Operational Programme “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation” (EPAnEK)
2021 – 2023 DFVA – Deep Football Video Analytics. The project concerns the processing of athletes’ data during football matches with the aim of automatically recognizing their football performance in the match as well as the individual and team characteristics resulting from such processing. For this task, deep learning techniques and neural networks will be used. In this way, it will be possible to extract quantitative and qualitative data related to the performances but also the tactics of the teams and athletes. The implementation will be carried out by combining open source neural network systems, as well as innovative algorithms and techniques of pattern recognition and machine learning by adapting them to the specific problem.. 2024 – 2025 InForensic -The University of Piraeus in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice and in the context of the digitization of the Justice procedures, is developing a Research Information System to Support the Forensic Services of the State. The System to be implemented, beyond the benefit of the digitization, management and safeguarding of Forensic Cases data, contributes to the development of Research in this field with innovative services and applications. (Within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU).
