PRODIGY
Multimodal AI Diagnostics for Prostate Cancer
Multimodal AI, digital pathology and digital twins for more informed prostate cancer diagnosis.
PRODIGY brings together researchers in Greece and China to explore how digital pathology, explainable artificial intelligence and digital twins can support more informed diagnosis of prostate cancer. The project started on 15 April 2026 and runs for 24 months.
Research directions
- Digital pathology: image analysis for disease classification, Gleason grading and the detection of defects in digital pathology images.
- Multimodal AI: how imaging, clinical, genomic and text data can contribute to disease modelling and prognostic research.
- Digital twins: digital representations that explore the progression of prostate cancer, with explainable predictions and expert feedback.
The Greek participation in PRODIGY (ΔΣΕΚΡ01-0021403) is co-funded by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund) and national resources through the Competitiveness Programme 2021–2027, under the Greece–China Bilateral Scientific and Technological Cooperation action.
