The lab

The Computational Biomedicine Laboratory (CBML) belongs to the Department of Digital Systems at the University of Piraeus. Its faculty members hold PhDs in biomedical engineering and machine learning and supervise the postgraduate research of highly qualified engineers.

The team also includes postdoctoral researchers, PhD candidates, engineers and undergraduate students. The laboratory is devoted to research in biomedical informatics and e-health, with numerous research projects and publications in international journals and conferences.

It develops intelligent information systems and user experience (UX) technologies that support health professionals remotely and improve the quality of life of citizens, and it operates its own platforms, applications and datasets, including a repository of anonymised medical images of various modalities.
