
Thanasis Kottaridis is a PhD candidate in the Department of Digital Systems at the University of Piraeus, supervised by Professor Ilias Maglogiannis, working on the design and implementation of a Mental Health Digital Twin for personalized emotion recognition and behavioral adaptation, drawing on multimodal data from wearable devices, voice, facial expressions, and conversational text, combined with generative and agentic artificial intelligence. He holds a degree in Information and Communication Technology from the University of Piraeus (2019) and completed his MSc in Big Data and Analytics at Digital Systems Department of University of Piraeus in 2023. Professionally, he works as Senior Project Manager & Mobile Applications Chapter Lead at the OTE Group, where he leads a cross-regional team of 20+ engineers and is responsible for the Development of mobile applications across multiple countries and brands. He previously worked as a Custom Software Engineering Specialist at Accenture and as an iOS Team Leader at Cognity. His research interests focus on the convergence of affective computing, mobile/edge technologies, and large language models for digital health applications.
