
Dr. Paschalina Lialiou is a graduate of the Department of Nursing at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). In 2011, she obtained a Master’s Degree through the Interdepartmental–Interuniversity Postgraduate Program of NKUA, with a specialization in Health Informatics. In 2017, she was awarded a PhD from the same university in the field of Health Informatics, with a focus on Web-Based Information Retrieval Systems. Since the early stages of her postgraduate studies, she has been actively engaged in exploring the applications of Artificial Intelligence in the healthcare sector. Her research interests include health informatics applications and services, the big data in health, health data mining, and the deployment of AI-driven diagnostic tools in clinical environments. For several years, Dr. Paschalina Lialiou has been affiliated with the Laboratory of Informatics at the Department of Nursing, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). She currently holds the position of Visiting Lecturer at the University of Piraeus, Department of Digital Systems, delivering courses in the field of Health Informatics. Previously, she served as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of West Attica, Department of Nursing, and continues to collaborate on project implementation with the Hellenic Open University (HOU). Since 2018, she has acted as a reviewer for international scientific conferences, including Medical Informatics Europe (MIE) and the International Conference on Informatics, Management, and Technology in Healthcare. Furthermore, she is an active member of the Hellenic Society for Biomedical and Health Informatics (HSBHI).
